They can only manage to hire and graduate a fraction of the 100-120 leaving each year. This won't be the last cut to training if attrition stays this high either. The academy will probably be cut by 5 weeks to match DOCJT's 22 weeks in the next few years just to keep enough people on the street to respond to legitimate 911 calls. They won't tell anyone until after it happens, but it's coming unless people stop quitting. There aren't enough qualified people willing to take the job and stay anymore
