The law protects lawyers and judges in particular. They only get in trouble if the judges agree they're in trouble. The state legislature could and should pass a law allowing any public official to be removed based on a recall petition and vote like they have in other states. Even if the vote doesn't work it puts them in a spotlight they don't want and that would invite better candidates to run for their seat next time.

The same idea should be applied to public employees like police chiefs. Today our system of government is perceived as extremely corrupt by the public and it's gradually crumbling. The foxes guard the hen house. If anyone could be fired on a vote of the people, the corrupt would be a little more afraid like they should be.

They're not kidding anyone. Everyone knows the games being played in PSU, PIU and the court Sgt.

If anyone believed those units were totally honest, Kerry Harvey and the FBI wouldn't be going through LMPD with a fine tooth comb.
