He's brought back the old political patronage system that civil service tried to replace. It's all the same sh--t different decade. Politicians don't mind those who do their bidding taking a little more than they're entitled to. They only slam the mallet on the people who don't play ball for violating the same rules.

They're a lot like the thugs in the west end too. The snitches get targeted for retribution for scare everyone else into compliance.

When Conrad was a young officer that system worked well. Now the secrets get out too easy because of the web. I doubt he'll last much longer as Chief.

LMPD fits in with the failing JCPS schools that the state's about to take over. The citizens keep electing idiots because most of them are idiots themselves. The city's been in decline since Dave Armstrong left office but it went down the slippery slope when they brought in this idiot Mayor talking about Compassionate Bike Lanes and a chief who never ran a detective unit in his entire career. It's dumb and dumber.

Forget trying to save this place. Proceed in an orderly fashion towards your next job in another county if you have any sense. Only the 20 year people have a good reason to stick it out to the very bitter end.
