RE: Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin releases plan he says will fix state...
Why isn't narcotics also charging for Wanton Endangerment 1st everytime they charge for trafficking of fentanyl and similar substances? Selling a drug that potent clearly meets the elements of the crime and that kind of charge would reduce their chances of getting diversion or probation. The idea that it's non-violent to sell a drug that can kill a person through casual contact or a single use of a low quantity is ludicrous. Every dealer whose product kills someone should be charged with reckless homicide at the very least, if not something more. Detectives should start doing their jobs and placing charges, instead of making baseless speculations on what a court might or might not do by the end of the plea bargaining process. That's what prosecutors are for and something they answer for not doing well in election years. Let them stand out as a hug-a-thug if they want.
