Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin releases plan he says will fix state pension system

It's a lot like getting into an easy do-nothing daywork spot or getting promoted to Major from Lt. You have to be related to somebody, have swapped spit with someone on latewatch or at least be good buddies to get special treatment.

The class they give is nothing compared to what anyone gets with a rifle in Marine boot camp or Army basic training. All they really need is to run people with military rifle qualifications through a half-day refresher course and let them qualify. They could put out a list of approved civilian classes and schools offering equivalent training for everyone else. It's not hard to get things done but people in charge think they have some magic sauce that makes their training unique. LMPD Training and DOCJT are minnows in a sea of whales where firearms training is concerned.
