That's a perfect description of LMPD's problem

Harry Potter is not a true story? Pretty soon you'll be telling me wrestling is fake. Santa will not be happy with you.

Corruption could happen and does happen every year. There are hundreds of police who have been arrested for working for drug dealers, specifically the kind with several hundred billion in annual revenue south of the border. The notion that they're less likely to bribe someone because it's a little further from the border is nonsense. They run all kinds of dope directly to every city in America now. The relatively few exceptions are the people buying illegal synthetics through the mail from Asia, some domestic pot growers and some trailerites still cooking meth. The Mexicans can beat all of them with lower prices, which is why they're taking over. The only people with any kind of clue on this subject are the DEA and due to local political pressures you only hear it from DEA leaders in other cities, not the ones here. When you admit the problem exists, then you're expected to do something about it, and they know Metro likes to preserve the city's false image of being a low-crime city.

I wouldn't expect the current situation to remain much longer. The people in charge of the Louisville feds today were put here by Obama's people and Trump people will begin arriving over the next year.
