LMPD's broke because it's got too much bling bling. Paying the Chief $50,000 more than bigger departments in this region do. Too many take home SUVs for house mice. Too many promotions and lateral moves to backoffice spots that shouldn't exist in the first place. Too many special events and large traffic details. Too many officers wasting gas letting their cars idle all night without doing anything. If only command knew what they were doing.
