Police say passerby may have saved life of LMPD officer attacked by homeless man

Amen, spot on correct. This isn't about the police going rogue and beating people down to do their jobs. It's about being aggressive towards the hardened criminals the people here have to live with daily and are in fear of. The good men and women of this dept know how to do it, but this non-aggressive command staff doesn't want to hear the word aggressive policing. Good police know to only use force when it is absolutely necessary to protect themselves, some thing the mindless command staff has no clue of and refuse to back anyone up should they have to go hands on too scared and will endanger them.
