He wants to repeat the same mistake made by the US Federal judge, Mayor, Governor and ACLU in Charlottesville? Blood is on their hands for the weak response, whether they acknowledge it or not. At least cities now know to file an appeal, get the order blocked by a higher court and ignore the idiot activists and judges of the world. There are far too many of them. If police stand by and allow a battle to happen, then there is a 100% certainty someone will be seriously injured or killed eventually.

"A board member of the Virginia chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union resigned from his position over the weekend in protest of the group's decision to file a lawsuit that kept Charlottesville authorities from relocating a white nationalist rally from a park that police said they wouldn't be able to keep safe."

The case was heard Friday evening in federal court, and U.S. District Court Judge Glen E. Conrad granted an injunction forcing city officials to allow the rally in the square. He said he granted the injunction because testimony indicated that rally organizer Jason Kessler could successfully prove that the city revoked his original permit based on his ideas.

For hours, police watched but generally did not attempt to break up the groups as they beat each other with sticks, sprayed each other with chemical weapons like pepper spray, and hurled projectiles at one another, including cans filled with cement, and bottles - some filled with water, others urine.

Hizhonor might want to ask the government officials in Charlottesville how well taking a non-aggressive stance worked out for them. Despite the tragic loss of life, at least no one's feelings got hurt.

* "We have learned from a senior law enforcement source from other county, who was here [in Charlottesville]... that officers were instructed to make no arrests without the explicit approval of the Charlottesville mayor. Our law enforcement source says that he was outraged by that instruction."

"* He was told during the day that if reporters had to, they could retreat to the police staging area. However, when protesters began throwing tear gas and the reporter tried to take shelter in the staging area, he was told he could not come in, the police said "No, don't come in here... we're leaving. It's too dangerous."

"He says you can see the police "filing out of there, single file, and making a beeline out of there." The chief of police says they were "making a retreat" to put on riot gear, but the reporter wants to know that having seen people with bats and armor, why were they not already wearing riot armor?"
