Most of the people running their mouths about Mattingly are the same ones who stay totally silent about officers and random people being murdered by common criminals. They're bigoted against police and hate the idea of police proactively arresting dangerous criminals in black neighborhoods. There's always been a handful of activists who became officers and fall into that camp, like the old B.P.O.

Chief White's OPINION was that he broke a policy, mainly because of politics, but in fact he was found not guilty by a jury. Conrad needlessly running his mouth and releasing applications is for politics too. Politics runs every aspect of this department, which is exactly why the Chief's suspensions and terminations are overturned so often by the merit board. PSU merely serves his agenda, as they proved with the Explorer cases.
