There's always a burger flipper or ditch digger looking for a little more pay. That doesn't mean LMPD will be able to hire anyone able to do more than pass a POPS test. It doesn't mean most on LMPD will be as capable of making good life-or-death decisions as in the past. There will be more preventable accidental shootings, more criminals who successfully elude less talented detectives to kill or rob again, and other human tragedies. You get what you pay for. Never forget that.
