Police cost too much, offend parts of the community with their very existence, take money from political pet projects and kickbacks to political donors and sometimes arrest people tied to the Mayor in an embarrassing manner on TV. LMPD will be down to 1000 officers in a few years, as murders reach 150 per year and overdose deaths hit 600 per year.
