LMPD officer suspended for Facebook posts sues chief claiming free speech violation

We need a new state law putting a $1000 bounty on criminals caught in the act and provide for reasonable use of force by citizens to detain them regardless of whether it's a felony or misdemeanor. The state can get the payments back from the thugs when they seize and auction their car or other belongings, or just make them sweat our the labor on a work farm.

We also need a new state law allowing incorporation of new small cities and annexation of Metro territory by existing ones. This "merged government" is nothing but a poorly run county government by another name. Small cities should be allowed to merge with each other and join adjacent counties if they want. The Highlands hippies, rich River Road and Lexington Road liberals and the west end should be their own county apart from the rest of us.
