LMPD officer suspended for Facebook posts sues chief claiming free speech violation

You might be jumping to conclusions. Perhaps the officer was showing the suspect a hangnail or possibly, some type of injury to his middle finger that he incurred during the pursuit as to provide a clarification on an upcoming assault 3rd charge.

At least the officer had the presence of mind not to verbally curse at him. That might have warranted some sort of reprimand.
