The council voted down a proposal to hire more officers with the surplus. The ones voting against are obviously crying alligator tears about the homicides. The best advice anyone could give to a new officer, or anyone else, is to find a job in a place that isn't intent on becoming another Detroit. In 20 years, this city will be much worse than today. Louisville's worst days are still ahead of it thanks to decades of incompetence here and in Frankfort.
