True. But it seems the department is willing to turn a blind eye when a "chosen one" makes an off-color comment on social media. Sort of like when a particular rising star homicide lieutenant referred to some folks as "savages" during an incident at a walking bridge a couple years back. Very peculiar, isn't it? That comment was protected free speech. This posting wasn't. Maybe Scanlan doesn't have the right attributes.
