The biggest difference between Jefferson County and other counties is how serious felony charges are regularly pled down to almost nothing, how few defendants are charged as persisted felony offenders, how low bail is for serious violent crimes, and how the sheriff, corrections and police neglect to locate all of the felons violating terms of their bonds, parole, and probation. People surprised at the number of shootings shouldn't be. The murders are the inevitable result of the Jefferson County
