45 homicides since January 1, including the one on Taylor Blvd on May 16. That's 0.32 homicides per day. If we stay at this pace there will be 118 homicides in 2018.
The worse numbers are the overdose deaths, about half of which could be classified as wanton acts of murder for knowingly selling fentanyl-contaminated heroin capable of causing death. There will be over 300 of those this year. The real murder count per KRS will be around 420 to 450 at this pace.
