LMPD chief defends changes to department, says he asked mayor for more officers |
RE: LMPD chief defends changes to department, says he asked mayor...
We don't need Lt's on daywork to manage people working at night. They should be permanently put on the graveyard shift like the people they're in charge of. At the very least, they should be working their area's peak hours.
The same goes for the detectives. Except for white collar, all the detective units should have people permanently working peak hours overnight. Major Crimes is structured and managed like a small county sheriffs office in the country with low crime, with everyone on pagers instead of late watch shifts. It's obvious nobody from the Chief to the Majors have any kind of a strategy for combating crime. They all seem to have taken the chief's irresponsible mantra about the police not being the solution. I never thought anyone could make Chief White look good, but he's managed to.
