It depends if you are retiring or are younger and wanting a different kind of department. Retirees can go to JCSO or any of the small depts having LMPD retirees already with minimal problems. I would avoid the ones who have no ex-LMPD there and the ones as political as LMPD has become recently. If I had 15-25 years left, I would go to another city like Indy or Cincinnati offering much better pay and benefits unless you really love east end DUI stops and burglar alarms. They have some well known
