Louisville Metro Council members frustrated with lack of answers from LMPD about hiring officers

Elitists don't care what the "little people" think. Mayor for Life Jerry had the same arrogance but let his chiefs run the department without micromanaging them too much from the Mayor's office. A lot of people hated White, but White had real investigative experience, so he didn't completely extinguish the detective units responsible for disrupting major crime. Conrad was a career house house who spent a few years as a District commander and has no idea how to manage investigations or patrol. Neither do most of the people he made Lt Cols and Majors. The ones that do aren't in charge of anything but their lunchtime. I knew crime would go up under him but never foresaw all the scandals. It's been a major embarrassment to this city.
