Neither of those will be considered. Sanders won't pander to anyone and although Cubby is liked by many, he is just not the guy for LMPD. This Mayor will never hire a person who has not lead a larger agency or at least been high up in one. Given the latest scandal, I believe he will go outside or look to a former LMPD person. It will not come from within this time. There is simply no one capable with the proper skills to handle what goes with the job. Whoever comes in will have to immediately deal with the stigma of this current mess and also with the rising violent crime. A lot of candidates are going to say no thank you.
