LMPD officer injured, suspect dead after shooting

OP implied due to lack of pay and benefits, that's just the kind of cop you get. Disagree. There's right and there's wrong, in any profession. If you don't like the pay and benefits, or lack thereof, walk. If you don't like what's put on the table before taking a position, walk. Does anyone go into law enforcement for the money? Everyone has options.
