While "Everybody's All-American" is busy clicking away at his keyboard cutting & pasting gang strategies and tired àss talking points from seminars and online forums, in the real world, a dedicated police officer, riding a beat in Louisville Kentucky ran headlong toward the sound of gunfire to do whatever he could to protect the lives of citizens in a predominantly African-American neighborhood. Even with news cameras rolling, I'm positive that the nuance of what was happening right in front of thier eyes will be totally lost on the local media and will never even be mentioned. "IF YOU CALL US, WE WILL COME." I've proudly ridden a beat in Louisville for 23 years. Watching that officer run into harm's way reminded me of why I have chosen to do what I do. I love this job. I love this community and despite all of it's flaws, all of it's shortcomings and all of it's failures...I love this department.

Giving out fresh needles and mandating the carrying of naloxone is tacit approval. Want to see the proof... watch the news or read the paper. My take on heroin overdoses? You shoot the crap into your own body with a needle, you are on your own and take your chances.

Crips blasting people at the parade. The mythical "child gang" theory is once again disproven. These are real gangs with teenage members. The department leadership should be more honest with the public in the future or risk losing all credibility if they haven't already done so.

80 homicides and still 4 months left. We'll have 106 by year's end if this rate keeps up which would make Louisville's murder rate. That's 17 per 100,000 people in LMPD's patrol area, up from 13.4 per 100,000, which is higher than Chicago, LA, New York, Houston, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, Nashville, Minneapolis, and the top 50 cities' average rate of 10.8 per 100,000.

It's safe to say that the Democrat political leaders of the last 8 years' social experiments have been a complete failure. This includes making most misdemeanors non-arrestable offenses, keeping almost all juvenile felons out of jail, releasing tens of thousands of dangerous inmates shortly after conviction, refusing to keep our borders secure from drug cartel smugglers and harassing and degrading police forces using trumped up allegations of racism. All of this has gotten many people killed as a result. A vote to keep these severely misguided politicians in office is a vote to watch the murder rate go even higher.

It's not a fair comparison because medical treatment is so much better today than in the 1970s. Many of the shooting victims would have died back then. Try comparing the number of assaults with a weapon and attempted murder.

So the Chief does a 7 min interview on WDRB... I wish they would ask real questions like... Chief, we are hearing and seeing crime/murder increase because officers are sitting in parking lots because they are sick of seeing cops murdered, command, elected officials and citizens not backing them, body cams, health insurance taking one entire pay check, their retirement ripped away to nothing, low pay in Louisville, no take home car for three years, sick police buildings with mold.. urine... feces, 1000 details, 30 runs holding at most times, 12 hr shifts with 8 officers working, ummm chief can you comment on that.

If we're all deplorables and racists according to Hillary, then who is going to guard her during her next visit to Louisville? Secret Service better bring about 500 people to make up for the detail no-shows. The flu is supposed to be pretty bad this fall.
