I was not surprised by the verdict. It's a sign of the times. Juries are becoming sympathetic for the accused when they hear about aggressive conduct from the dead person. All court trials are a roll of the dice for the defense but your chances of getting convicted when the dead person "provoked" you are becoming less and less.

Reason: People are SICK of being victims and will often put themselves in the shoes of the accused.

They will be offering some in-service training that covers stand your ground. Your unit should plan on attending.
