Because the officers try to run the FOP negotiations instead of hiring pros, who cost money but get better results. Officers are also afraid of being vocally opposed to the administration unless its on the internet. The FOP should have a full time presence in the media just like the PIO and administration to educate the public and get their backing in disputes. The city plays for keeps but the FOP treats it like a pickup basketball game.

We kept our cars without paying...unless you work off duty. That was directly related to the F.O.P. I remember the legal advisor in manadating standing in front of everybody saying we would lose...and he was wrong.
