I have often wondered how the news even knows about these kinds of deeds. It's not like it comes across on a scanner or something. I'm guessing someone wants attention and calls them up, hoping they will pick up the story.

(CNN) -- Lab results are back in the case of a teenager who died in a police shooting in St. Louis last week, and they show gun residue on the clothing and body of Vonderrit Myers, authorities said Tuesday.

The residue was found on Myers' shirt, jeans and hand, according to a release from St. Louis police.

"We're done as a police union standing in the shadows in these cases. We are actively defending the officer involved in the shooting," Jeff Roorda, business manger of the St. Louis Police Officers Association, told reporters Tuesday.

He said the gun residue results on Myers confirm the officer's account of what happened.

I have a question for senior officers and retirees, as I respect your opinions. I have only been on a few years, but I was wondering the opinion of Dave Stengel running for State Representative? I usually vote Republican, I've been looking at some of the flyers in the mail, it seems he is Vietnam Vet Aviator, and was shot down. It also appears he is tough on drugs, where Bratcher isn't. I got a flyer from Bratcher saying he is for properly funding our schools. I think JCPS is over funded. It is my understanding he went after McKenzie Mattingly really hard when he was the Commonwealth Attorney, which I don't like. Is he a wolf in sheeps clothing?
