I'd show the victim pictures of all the recent parolees from Louisville. The system is great for unleashing violent predators back on society as quickly as possible. It just takes one turd like that to ruin a neighborhood.

CLARK COUNTY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- The Clark County sheriff, Danny Rodden, has been arrested and is facing several criminal charges.

Rodden was arrested at the federal courthouse in New Albany after an FBI investigation. The investigation began earlier this year when the FBI developed an informant.

According to the indictment, Rodden, 60, is accused of giving a person law enforcement credentials so that person could get a hotel room at a reduced rate. He is also accused of engaging in a sexual act with that same person and paying the person $300.

The indictment states Rodden gave the person sheriff department apparel and a badge, and later told the person to get rid of the items.

Rodden is also accused of making false statements to the FBI when he was questioned by agents back in May and June during the wire fraud and prostitution investigation.

Rodden is charged with counseling the destruction of evidence in a federal investigation and seven counts of making a false statement to the FBI.

During a news conference Tuesday afternoon, officials said more indictments are possible as a result of this investigation. Officials did not comment on how long Rodden had contact with the prostitute or if the prostitute was paid by other elected officials.

A woman was robbed and shot on West Broadway while she was getting off a TARC bus at about 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police said.

As she was exiting the bus with a child in a stroller, a man attempted to grab the woman's purse, Louisville Metro Police Department spokesman Dwight Mitchell said in a statement. The victim is believed to be the grandmother of the child.

The victim struggled with the purse, firing a shot into the woman's abdomen as he grabbed it, police said.

The shooting took place in the 3100 block of Broadway near the Shawnee Expressway.

The man, described as being black male about 5'5 wearing a black shirt and camouflage shorts, fled on foot.

The victim was taken to University of Louisville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The baby, still inside its stroller, was left on the scene with police.

Juliana Gomez, the niece of the victim, walked up to the crime scene and saw the baby and stroller. Gomez and her mother, along with the mother of the baby, rushed past the yellow tape, car seat in hand to retrieve the child.

They said they would head to the hospital next.

"Who in their right mind would rob someone with a baby?" she said.

LONDON -- British police raided an English country pub this week in search of a stolen wooden relic believed by some to be the Holy Grail - a cup from which, according to the Bible, Jesus is said to have drunk at his final meal before crucifixion.

The Grail has captivated religious experts for centuries, spawning myriad theories about its location and inspiring numerous fictional accounts from the Middle Ages onwards.

The object of the police search, which was unsuccessful, was a frail wooden bowl known as the Nanteos Cup that has been attributed with healing powers since the 19th century, attracting pilgrims and others who believe it may be the Holy Grail itself.

After receiving a tip-off, a team of eight officers and a police dog arrived on Sunday morning at the Crown Inn, a village pub in the rural English county of Herefordshire.

"They turned the place upside down. They came with fibre optic cameras to look in all the corners and nooks and crannies, and under the floorboards ... they were clearly serious about it," the pub's landlady, Di Franklyn, said.

Police said the relic, a dark wooden cup kept inside a blue velvet bag, had been stolen from a house in the area about a month ago. Photographs available online show a bowl-shaped vessel with around half its side missing.

"We get a few rogues and scallywags in the pub, but no one who's quite on the level of stealing a priceless ancient artefact," Franklyn said.

Looters in Ferguson, Missouri were breaking into every place except the shopping center with the liquor store, tattoo studio and gun store. All of us tattooed gun owning drinkers have to stick together! It takes a village to stop a riot.

A guy walks into a bar.

In the corner, he sees Robin Williams, David Carradine and Michael Hutchence.

The bartender walks up and asks him, "Hey buddy, how are they hangin'?"
