You mean a negative story and it is not about LMPD? I thought the Sheriffs Dept was above reproach. I'm surprised the Deputies didn't call LMPD when they found the drugs, and pass the buck!

The 40 in training doesn't even begin to address the problem, which is the huge number of desk bound officers, excessive numbers of Sgt's and Lt's, and people on limited duty or medical leave. The news should compare the number of patrol officers actually riding a beat to bet a better idea. Look at the number of shootings because that is harder to downgrade or falsify in crime data. You can always count on SPI to back whatever the Chief wants though.

Making a traffic stop is not "compromise" safety. While all police actions carry some element of risk, it does not mean safety is always "compromised". Sounds like you just discovered a new word and you are eager to use it. You should first learn what it means!

“This is the second time someone got shot here in one month," she said. "I was outside earlier, and I'm glad I didn't walk my kids around my neighborhood, because anything could've happened. This is crazy, I hope they tear these projects down they need to do it, they need to, for real."

Jefferson County Sheriffs Office is a joke the SHERIFF is an old 1960's LPD motocycle officer he give most jobs to his very old LPD friends that are too old to do anything would get hurt if anything.

the deputy's are told not to do any "police work" don't pull anyone over ect..
