FOP: "No evidence" of hiding crime reports at Waterfront Park

April 9th, 2014 @ 8:53PM (10 years ago)

It's been 100 to 200 understaffed since long before merger. EMS and Fire have had the same problems. The Aldermen, Fiscal Court, Metro Council, Mayor, County Judge Executive or whatever else they want to call themselves have always put public safety in the back seat. They like to think they are trying to protect the public but their actions speak louder than their words. This latest attempt to downplay the crime sprees downtown and pretend society somehow failed these juvenile delinquents and criminals is yet one more farce to prevent them from having to do anything real to improve safety of the public. The only solution is to vote the b@stards out and replace them with much better people.

Public service is a expense not an asset. Until that mindset is done away with the depts will never be at full strength. It is a democrats way of thinking. You are a pay number and nothing else to the city. You can complain just like has been done for the last 20 years but NOTHING will change. Live with what you have and do the best you can with it. No dept head is going to go against the mayor on anything if he wants to keep his position. And with him and the council it is all about the bottom line. Cameras at the water front is a snow job to please the public. One time expense that is worth nothing. It's been tried before other places in the city. So look out for each other and stay safe because the only person who cares is the one working beside you.

FOP President Mutchler did a great job talking to the Metro Council today. He gets grief on this site but he did a fine job and opened their eyes to several things today

Has anyone noticed that recently, all the BIG drug busts in Louisville have involved illegal Hispanics? And last I heard, we aren't even allowed to ask if they are legally here. And even if they told you they are illegal, we still can't do jack. Anyone else have a problem with this worsening issue? NUTS !
