Heroin epidemic worsening in Louisville

Time to reprioritize and get serious about this. Its not just one department's problem either. I do not see the kind of serious efforts here to interdict and stop organized groups as you see elsewhere. No more cop-outs about "there isn't a problem with that in Louisville."

Nothing is going to happen. The command staff will sit around and look at each other wondering what to do. Louisville has become a hot bed for organized crime and the command simply ignores it. I can't wait tell it hits the fan and the media starts digging. The heads will role and some already sad careers will come to an end.

There are things going on...You can see in daily sig act that Heroin is being seized.. Homicide sends info the metro or Viper from the 2 heroin deaths a week.....People are being charged with withtampering and abuse of a corpse when they leave or move their dead friend...

Thou shall not steal money from the Federal DUI Traffic Overtime grant. Just plain stupid.

These (non working) members of society get hooked on this crap while the working men and women have to pay for their recovery. Bull Shi$. Get a JOB, then you wont have time to get your fix.

So...an Officer can be fine to go on vacation all the time and then when it is time to report back to work they get sick ....again? You wonder why anyone questions you. WE would like to see one of your vacations derailed by all your sicknesses. You leave the division short all the time and it gets old.

You respond on a residential burglar alarm. You checked the perimeter of the house and nothing looks broken into. You then check the front door of the house by knocking on it first. The door appears ajar and then swings open from the light force of your knock, but no one answers when you yell "police". Should you then go ahead and walk through the house to 'search' for an intruder or simply secure the door back the best way possible? Would this be considered an unlawful search? What is your liability if in fact an intruder was inside the house and you left only securing the door?

Why do certain people always assume someone is guilty just because they are charged with crime? David Camm was found NOT GUILTY...that means it cannot be proven he did it. If you cannot prove he did it then it also means there is a possibility he didn't do it. It's that simple...Same thing with O.J. Simpson. If you don't know what you're talking about you are embarrassing yourself and remember: SUSPICION AND SPECULATION ARE NOT PROOF.
