Thinking the Unthinkable

Another cop out. Yes you can. As a matter of fact, I encourage parents to do just that when I make runs to their homes and their "out of control" 11 yo is acting up again. If I make a run to a house and the kid is complaining they were spanked, I tell them to hush, it's their parents' right to do so (given they haven't been abused). I'm getting tired of kids calling the police anyway. They've been told by their peers that their parents are not allowed to spank them and to call the police if they do. As long as each officer does a good job of informing the child their parents are legally allowed to discipline them, we will get a lot fewer calls of this nature. I wouldn't have thought twice about calling the police when my dad spanked my butt with a belt. Whelps are part of maturing.
