Its sad that this had to happen but do not look down on the police for what they had to do We have to protect ourselves also We never know what we will encounter An example of this is Officer Peter Grignon Shot and killed by an armed teen

Description

A 7th division officer was forced to shoot an armed suspect after police responded to a burglary in progress call in the 7900 block of Ferndale Road in Fern Creek.

The incident occurred on April 29, 2007 at about 7:45 p.m.

2 suspects fled the scene when officers arrived. One suspect was captured without incident after a short foot chase. The 2nd suspect fled into a wooded area near Watterson Trail and Hurstbourne Parkway where officers found the subject armed with a handgun and pointing it at his head. As the officer attempted to talk to the suspect, the suspect pointed the handgun at the officer causing the officer to shoot.
